I'm a big fan of it too, but we would have to pull the trans and change the output tail shaft to the LMM model, swap the T-case and add 5 wires. totally doable and we have them on the shelf.

I am moving towards retirement and as I am doing that I'm being more selective about what we build now that said we're not doing any government work anymore and so yes we are entertaining the old 03-06 GMT 800 platform vehicles of course the Tahoe has a soft spot in my heart because it's so much fun to drive so all the platforms are available

funny you should say that the 8.1 496 was always referred to as the poor mans Duramax and it actually did really well but in the end you are asking a gas engine to do a diesels job and the application just doesn't work This just simply works

they run around 30-35K thats our SS Series 1500, they are fun efficient and fast, the classic have your cake and eat it too LOL

depending on the year 07-14 are around 30-35K 15-20 are about 8K more mostly for the drivetrain

They stopped Duramax Swapping anything older than 2003 a while ago

Yeah, a low mile 3500 with an L5P is north of 125K But when you consider a 1500 Suburban with a 3L is 80K and a Escalade ESV is north of 130K the pricing and cost of development is all comparable Just not in everyons financial fortitude I can't afford one and we build them LOL 😂

We continue to see them in the news when there is a segment from the white house in the background Alas GM latched on and now mass produces the 2024 forward 6.6 3500 Suburban armored B6 with manufacturer 5yr / 50k mi warranty No 3rd party needed and it is available to all US Gov agencies and..................All NATO allies which killed us😢 All good though public is way less pressure LOL

I say it everyday. I have a tdi a7 diesel full bolt ons etc deleted. Its a monster and great on fuel. Its hard for me to go back to a gas for a daily. Im in the hunt for a burb now to do this swap
